1350 EYE LOUNGE

2018 | WASHINGTON, DC

fun fact | According to the D.C. Preservation League, Franklin Square was originally the site of several natural springs

This lounge is on the main floor in a 381,000 square foot trophy office building, located on historic Franklin Square Park, within three blocks of the White House. Our scope included presenting a repositioning strategy for existing and new amenity spaces, including the and build out of a new 2,000 square foot tenant lounge and collaboration space. The design intent focused on inspiring creativity through original artwork, encouraging collaboration with expert space programming and integrating technology systems gracefully into the space.

The design has many nods to Franklin Square’s history. You will find a cool blue color palette, water inspired custom wall covering, and many lush plantings to bring the outside to the inside. A series of long exposure photographs by artist Aaron Patton convey a sense playful movement recorded by a technical process.
